I am in the process of receiving a MAD2 watch from the good people at MB&F, and have hit a snag with US Customs.  In the past, Customs (through DHL) has requested my personal information, which I am able to provide.  But now they are also asking for "clearance instructions," a "clocks and watches worksheet," and a "value breakdown."  That's information that I don't have.

Usually it comes from the seller you bought the watch from overseas. Good luck!

And MB&F just sent me a completed worksheet. Hopefully that will be all they need!

Re the Sales Tax, something I genuinely didn’t think of (DHL had charged import duties) I received a bill from the State two years after import (watch from EU) together with penalties and interest on such penalties. The penalties and interest were more than the actually sales tax amount !!!

I think it’s the only state that does that?

Seller should supply it but now and then the carrier will ask the buyer/importer to provide it if seller is slow or ignoring the carrier. However, recently FedEx and DHL (so far) are requesting this from the buyer before asking seller; and Customs has started asking for a buyer-completed 5106 form-which is a real pia.

What a pain that would be!

I’m assuming that others in the US have recently received MAD watches, so I am hoping this works out.
