The all-blue look is really nice. I just wonder if it makes it a bit harder to see all of GF’s amazing finishing work. Here’s one of the “standard” versions . . .
The emphasis on "final edition" and retiring the watch is interesting. GF has been guilty of releasing "limited" edition after limited edition of the same caliber so I wonder if this is a sign of change from the new CEO

For example, this brings the contemporain to something like 200 pieces across wg, rg, gem set, and steel. That's not many examples in the grand scheme of things but seemingly a lot if you were one of the first customers of the "limited" edition of 33. At these prices customers should be assured that the scarcity and exclusivity of their purchase is maintained so I think this is a good move, I wonder if we'll see more of this across the other lines that have been going for a while.
But then GF does the same thing with sizes! They've been releasing new Convexe models that have slightly better dimensions every year or so. They just updated the GMT to make it much better size wise for example.
I think they should simply be more up front! The limited thing doesn’t bug me much but I think if I bought one of the big 46mm ones and then they released a 41mm or 42mm…I’d be a little annoyed.
