Here it is: The FB1 Œuvre d‘or. One of 5 pieces with a white gold dial and gold movement. What can I say? Simply stunning 🤩😱
Sweet baby Jesus !!!!! For those who have never seen a Ferdinand Berthoud, there are NO words to describe them BUT there are levels, even with FB pieces. This ŒUVRE d'or that H picked up is NEXT LEVEL amazing !!

…as soon as I find some time! As you assumed, I could compare the open dial round case (FB2 RS) with the octagonal FB1 case. And unlike I thought before, I liked the octagonal case much more and it fits my wrist better…
The FB1 with the first movement of Berthoud is already a classic, but this œuvre d‘or is even more special as the movement is fully made of gold bridges with a nice pyramid hand decoration and also the dial is made of solid gold, either way patinated by hand… That convinced me over the open dial…
