There’s a seven page article featuring this watch in EuropaStar magazine And it’s on the cover! I love the dial, it’s the hit of the show but there’s also a new movement behind the dial, it’s Kari‘s 20th anniversary watch…Jim

I believe photographs may miss characterize the effect the dial may have on this watch, somewhat like when I bought my PP 5740, everybody thought the date being on the dial was a killer but of course history has proven that wrong. if you read the entire article and the premise behind what the dial stands for it may have more meaning for you… Jim

Anybody can have an enrmal world map on the dial, this particular dial took several months to make by a famous Japanese artist, I don’t really think you can compare the two… We are all entitled to our opinions…Jim

Your handle tells me we would be thinking alike. A world renowned independent watchmaker, his soulmate from Japan, a world renowned artist, a new movement that does everything from the crown and is more efficient is what I call horology… Jim

This dial is not my style. Very well executed, just personal preference.

Highest of craftsmanship. I still don't find it to my visual taste, but that doesn't mean it isn't unqiue, masterful, artistry. I am sure all sold, whether because collectors find it appealing, they just want anything KV, they just want the collaboration, etc doesn't matter to me. Cool that it exists.

And I agree, so cool it exists and who doesn’t want a KV? It was so impressive to be able to meet Kari and see his work shop, the passion he has (and so humble) for what he does and how he views not only his craft but his young people is inspirational! There is only one of this specific watch that will be made making it very special…Jim

It is based on the original V8 but it’s thinner, more efficient and more accurate. To have a world timer with everything working from the crown makes this watch simple but beautiful on both sides… Jim

I know Kari also has a new reverse movement That will be better than the first one, he is really working hard and has many young people under his wing. His workshop and organization are very impressive… Jim
