Well today I received my 17.09 back from Schwarz Etienne. Now I’m sure everyone is aware of the issue involved and the bad press Ming received over this and i get that this issue should have been picked up somewhere along the line way before the watches were sent out to the customers. Now I’m talking from a personal point of view at the end of the day the issue was resolved and in a very professional way as from day one to the day the watch was returned I was always kept up to date with the repair progress. Maybe I’m mellowing with age but I’m of the thinking as they say worse things happen at sea. And I love this watch my first Ming 😊

For a first Ming, this is certainly a special one which looks great on your wrist 👌🏼.  Wear it in the best of health…and please share another wrist shot if/when you try on the black strap, as I’m curious as to how the combination looks.

I’ll certainly share a wrist shot with the new strap and btw I also purchased the Ming bracelet earlier in the year (now sold out) and did wear it on the watch before it was sent back for repair and that looks great in my opinion.

I generally like when Ming uses a starkly contrasting strap color to their dials, but I also selectively like the monochromatic look, especially in greys. And I had bought a Ming grey band to try on my black honeycomb (like yours), but it didn’t strike me as much as I expected, so I got an olive green to go back to the contrast look. But I honestly didn’t think of black, nor expect it would strike me like in your picture…but it makes total sense. The cool thing is how easy it is to switch between straps. Congratulations on getting it back! I spent a day with the honey 17.09 and it is a fantastic watch. I can't wait to get my own 17.09 from the standard production series.

I just say it as I see it and for sure it’s the way that they handled the issue that speaks volumes for me.
