It is a shame because the watch is beautiful but there is nothing about them online other than a few reviews from 2012. Wonder what happened to the company. BTW, very interesting movement.

You have made a good point, its hard to transform a concept into a consistent quality, profitable production. Best Will [nt]

These were very nice watches with movements by Karsten Frässdorf.
The last I heard they where ramping up production... and then there was nothing more.
I have no idea what happened.
Don

Thanks Don, I have heard say that his movements are too sophisticated for commercially viable production - but personally, I don't know what that really means, given the complexity of many commercially produced watches.. [nt]

where Karsten Frässdorf was involved, sadly.

Kind regards,
Magnus

I take it he has great ideas but...

All fields suffer from designers and engineers who are unable to see a project through to the finish line. Sometimes its personality, sometimes they tweak and never finish and sometimes their ideas can't be reasonably rolled out. Too bad, a watch that I would have loved to own.

So true! [nt]

Thanks Magnus, it's almost like he needs to stop at concept / prototype stage and hand over. [nt]

The owners of HWM did not want to start production, until...

 By: monochrome : February 25th, 2019-01:17
they sold an x number of watches that would justify the costs of starting the production. Unfortunately they never got enough sales (no surprise for a new brand with zero track record) and the entire project died.

Thank you for the update , Best wishes, Will [nt]
