With the protruding lugs and rubber strap? (AP has the protruding strap endlinks which makes the strap unbendable at the lug area)

FrX,
Thanks for the 'live' photo.
If HW released the illustration (photo or computer graphics?) now and you had the 'live' photo from the Salon, does this mean that it was a prototype on the wrist?
I've been thinking about the raison d'etre of the watch. It's an alarm watch so the function is clear.
Usually alarm clocks...er....watches are discrete until the alarm-time is upon us. Normal watch one moment on the wrist and than all hell breaks loose with the alarm. Or innocent timepiece on the bedside table and jolting cockerel when needed.
Apart from the acoustic physics of size vs loudness and all the technical reasons to have a large watch, what is the positioning of this Ocean Excenter Alarm Pink Gold-Zalium watch?
There are some clues that shout, "Look at Me!"
The imposing physical size and shape of lugs, bezel and crown protectors are the first inkling.
The two-tone colour scheme is ostentatious.
This is not a piece that sits quietly under a business suit sleeve. The model name already evokes Le Weekend with Sun and Sea until the the alarm starts shouting, "Look at Me! Time to do something."
What I cannot understand is why would you need an alarm function when on a weekend with Sun and Sea?
Regards,
MTF
