What do the watch and shoes do to work so hard?

I am not asking for your profession but it seems you are the hard worker and they are along for the ride? I always love seeing pictures of that watch, the back as much as the front. I don't know enough about shoes to comment on their work ethic. I wear cheap shoes to work because they get lots of nasty stuff on them (poop, urine, vomit, etc.). The watches are worn very carefully to avoid damage. I am too much of an addict to not wear a nice watch to a job that could lead to their damage. Anyway it is always good to see VC products hard at work and would love to know the make and model of the shoes. Thanks for the pictures.

The 1955 is there to keep perfect time, distract me during endless meetings when things get a bit dull and make me feel happy. He is working overtime, I think!

I am very hard on my shoes, I'm afraid, as I am a walker, so they, too, must work overtime. These are my John Lobb Paris Saint Crépin 2011s. I should have bought several pairs when they were available.

...that makes them so appealing? I am with you in this preference. I think making a truly beautiful simple watch is a great challenge, and Vacheron Constantin does it so well.

Regarding the crown...I will disagree on this point. The size is perfectly in proportin to the case size and ultra-thin profile of the watch. But I could see it being a problem for big fingers. Actually, my hands are pretty large, but I find the watch is a real pleasure to wind.

Browsing your Picture Center, I've found pictures of another beautiful VC: the Overseas Chronograph American L.E.
How do you think a similar, quite sporty, timepiece could look with only two hands?

And from VC, we have the 222 from the past. I'm probably not the only one here who would like to see the 1120 in an Overseas or historical update to the 222.

The 1120 in an Overseas, without a date window please, is a dream I hope will come true. I can just imagine such a watch with water resistance and anti-magnetic protection of at least the current levels for the Overseas line being the ultimate sports watch. And I like the idea of a Les Historiques 222 someday, but then again, I haven't met a Les Historiques I didn't like.

I admire the Overseas Automatic a lot. But that has the sweep seconds hand, and I think that can be a good thing on a sports watch. I do sometimes wish that the Overseas Automatic did not have a date window.

I am also a big fan of the Royal Oak Jumbo, which started out as a two-handed sports watch that, obviously, works brilliantly. I write "obviously" because it has been in production now for over 40 years, so the design clearly works well. Here again, however, I might like to see it without a date window, too.

Then there is the Reverso, and I am thinking of the recent Tribute to Reverso 1931, which has two hands only. Let's not forget that the Reverso started out as a sports watch on the polo field -- another very successful example of a simple two-hand sports watch, even if most would not consider this a sports watch today.

I am sure there are other examples, but I will stick to the ones I know best.

Well, Respo, as I've already written, I really love two-handed timepieces, even when they are sporty, in some way.

I have in mind a couple of examples, a modified version of a renowned watch and a dream-watch.

I'm talking about the JLC TTR 1931, you've already mentioned, and about two references by Officine Panerai: PAM373 and PAM376.

The "modified version..." is this proposal I've posted here on PuristSPro on march 2011.

The "dream watch" is the one I've designed by myself and i'm trying to put into reality with the indispensable partnership of a very good case-maker and an important watchmaker. I'm sorry, I can't post any picture of the prototype...
