West Samoa has recently opted to become the first country greeting a new day west of the International Date Line (instead of east - and last). This is for practical reasons - so that she does not have to lose two working days in doing trades with New Zealand and Australia, I wonder what the impact will be on timepieces like VC's Timezone:

Any lights shed on the subject will be greatly appreciated.

VC has committed to making the adjustments necessary as timezones change and as customers request, I believe.  The movement was designed to allow for relatively easy changes such as this, if I am not mistaken. It is one of the beautiful things about this amazing timepiece.  Have I mentioned lately that I WANT ONE?

I do wonder if VC will change the watches already produced but not yet delivered...

From what I understand Samoa is doing a change of day (24hrs.) only & that should not effect the time of the day with reference to GMT / UTC so the position on the dial should not change.
