Historique Chronograph reference number
Been looking into getting one of these and saw that the reference number 47101 had 3 different ending numbers in the yellow gold. 47101/2 47101/3 and 47101/4 what is the difference between these?
from what i read,....
47101 - snap back
47111- screw back
there were some marked 47101/4-47111 meaning snap back case with the newer movement .
/1 to /4 - some modification on the gear train

somethings I found
47101/2 has lines going through middle of hour and minute hands and says 'swiss' at 6 o'clock
47101/3 has lines going through middle of hour and minute hands and says 'swiss made' at 6 o'clock
47101/4 does not have lines going through middle of hour and minute hands and says 'swiss made' at 6 o'clock

I learned from VC...
that the different suffixes have to do with minor changes in the case design (crown size, o ring). Nothing material or inherently desirable from one to the other.
