Patrimony Dials
I saw some new Patirmony Contemporaine models that are now at retailers and VC has made a noticeable shift in the dials to a brighter, more silver finish. The dial finish is now consistant between the various Patrimony Contemporaine references (81180, 85180 (Self Winding), 86020 (Retorgrading Day and Date), and 81530 (Small model)), and the same regardless of the case color.
I have talked with some people who did not like the previous finish. They should be sure to revisit these models in the near future.

I have Patrimony Contemporaine
in yellow gold, red gold and white gold. In case they would have the same dial, I would have not bought more than one.
I think that the different dials matching with the color of the gold used is a fascinating detail.

I agree with you about the different tone to each dial
on the now "older" models is one of the most fascinating and appealing aspects about those watches. It seems like the kind of detail that collectors 50 years in the future will evaluate carefully when considering their "vintage" Vacheron Constantin collection.
