Hi Guys

Just want to share with you my first vintage VC watch, actually my first vintage watch in any brands.  This one come in 36mm diameter without the crown, uncommon for that era.  I was told this was manufactured in 40's to 60's.  Anyone can help me out wih this and be more specific?

I love vintage VC's myself.  I'm not particularly familiar with the case, but I notice it has a wide bezel.

The dial looks like it is enamel, I really like the way the words stick out from it.  The hands and dial look like the 40's-60's as somebody else has told you.

I would guess the movement is a 12.5 ligne cal 453. 

The only way to make sure about any type of information is to remove the back.  The ref. # of the watch should be a 4-digit number on the inside of the case back, along with the 6-digit case #.

The movement's 6-digit number should be engraved on the back of the movement.

With the case and movement #s, the watch can be accurately dated.

I have a picture of a similar model 36mm case with cal. 453/3B, but the caseback only shows a serial number and not a reference number.  That, style/size of the piece and the case number suggests the early to mid 1950's.  A few  years later that caliber was used in the so-called XXL 38mm models.  Yours is really stunning...those applied numerals are sooooo tiny and delicately placed on a flawless dial.  A tip of the hat to you, sir!

Thanks for everyone's help.  Actually, I fould the condition of the dial unbelievably good for a watch of this age.  I think the dial may have been re-finished.  Is it possible to do such a good job on the logo and applied numerals if the dial has been re-finished?  Would like to hear your thoughts.
