I'm pleased that you liked the photos -- I'm still very much a novice in that area, but it's great fun to work on improving!

It did take me a while to work up the nerve to buy a gold bracelet watch, even one this pretty! I'd been toying with the idea for a while, but had found other watches I'd considered to be too extreme. There's also the little voice in the back of one's head saying "you could have exactly the same watch in steel for a lot less..."
At the end of the day the look of the OS DT in the metal captivated me. I think that it helps quite a bit that most of the horizontal surfaces are brushed rather than polished -- and the silver/white face adds a lightness to the overall look. Also, as much as I like the look of the RG/Brown dial LE in photos, I think that the slightly more classical (to me) look of YG vs. RG helps with the presentation of the watch as well. I can't remember seeing another bracelet watch (regardless of metal) that I've liked remotely as much.
In any case, I don't see myself starting up a collection of gold bracelet pieces! Neat to have one to wear when the spirit moves, though -- especially one as well-made as the VC.
Thanks again,
Gary G
Best ones I've seen of the OS Dual Time so far...
thanks for sharing!
Great choice for a birthday gift. The watch definitely takes on a different personality in gold. Great choice and I'm sure youu will get lots of enjoyment from it. Maybe after you've worn it for a while you can post your ownership impressions.
Best regards,
Dino
Thanks -- I like your suggestion of a quick report once I've lived with the watch for a while. I can tell you that one initial impression is that it's a heavy piece!
