I have owned several versions of the Overseas and love them all, but this particular version however has a personality that is unrivaled in the world of horology, Vacheron might have outdone Patek finally!
I can’t think of anything I would change or add to this reference, it is overwhelmingly charming, comfortable, luxurious, yet masculine and approachable and wearable.
I have been on the waiting list for the Patek perpetual calendar Nautilus and was promised that watch either this year or the next at the latest ( delay supposedly due to coronavirus even though Patek are releasing new models?) but I am now considering switching to the Overseas skeleton perpetual. I will have to see that last one in person, I am not sure about the moonphase disk in pictures, that material looks almost like plastic

Switching from PP to VC is an excellent move; nothing against PP but like one commenet reads: PP is luxury barnd, VC is watch fanatics brand.
I love the Overseas, we have a few of them. Funny enough, the more I learn the more I started to appreciate the time only model (which I dont have).
On skeleton however: I am personally not a big fan of skeleton watches. I appreciate thge craftmanship and if only I could wear them like our friend Ed Tomkon can wera them I would buy one. But for now they are not for me.
On the moon phase cover: plastic or not? I belief it is some type of high tech color erosion resistant compound (in our terms plastic) but from a design concept I belief the semi transparent moon cover to be brilliant.

For me Patek is just a luxury brand.

I only like the Aquanaut and the World Timer.
A caltrava, many others can do also perfect dress watches.

The Overseas Perpetual Skeleton is a killer piece.
I am not a big fan of the Overseas but here, I would gladly make an exception if money wasn't a problem.

Regarding PP vs VC I would say the are equally good 👍 I😏
Don’t think twice about the moon phase disc. It’s one of the coolest features of this movement. Can see through it slightly and matches the other subdial discs. So different and cool. I have same movement in traditionelle case and love it!

Regarding the perpetual calendar, did you hear back from VC if that is indeed plastic? Is there anyone here with inroad/connections to VC to confirm?
I looked at the picture and wondered what else it could be, instead of Plastic: i came up with one hypothesis, namely maybe “frosted glass / frosted sapphire glass” which would be much more in line with the positioning of such an amazing piece? If I recall correctly the ALS lumen had also something similar a couple of year ago?

White or pink gold perpetual skeleton?
I have the same VC overseas tourbillon in steel. Beautiful and so versatile. Now keen on acquiring a skeleton perpetual calendar. What are peoples thoughts between the pink gold and white gold versions? I have not seen either in real life.
