If there is no difference among the six watches, it confirms my original judgment that ref.4724 has a very low output.
The first five watches were produced in 1952-1953 (the sixth watch didn't get information), with exactly the same dial (vc produced only 24 dials of same style in 1950s-1960s,then changed).
Ref.4838 & ref.4907 have similar case, but the dial changes and the production time is longer. Maybe more than ref.4724.
That's all my guess. I don't have more data and information. I hope VC fans can share more.

I think there are some inconsistencies in our concerns.
I found the pictures of six watches for comparison and came to the conclusion that the design of ref.4724 dial did not change. Thank you for your analysis and description of the dial. Whether the dial is all original is not the subject of discussion.

I remember the photo you provided, ref.472x with sub second. Maybe it used the same case as ref.4724, like ref 4838 and ref.4907. But ref.4724 in 35mm case, I really don't have any informations. the photos which I provided, some dials I also think are refinished. The transaction price is getting higher and higher,i think most people much more like the design.
