Historiques Triple Calendrier 1942. Nothing really "spectacular" but the wow factor for me is the simple classic elegance.

All the info in a well proportioned dial with a soothing egg shell sun ray center. The minute rail track up close. Like the raised black, red art-deco numerals. And the blue thin baton hour and min hands.

Just saw this watch in the flesh ...
and I was truly impressed. Great value, great fit, light on the wrist, beautiful movement and a colorful dial.
On the flip side, the minute hand was really slim, slim enough to be confused with what would normally be a central seconds hand. Also, the hour hand could have been a fraction shorter. However, I think this was noticeable only because I was looking at the watch for the first time. I think an owner would easily acclimate to these features.
All in all, superb watch offering superb value from a superb brand.
