And for the finale, the very reason I went to see the exhibits in the first place - the first official, comprehensive exhibit of Hayao Miyazaki's work on American soil, so much so that visitors are told not to take any images, while every other exhibit is entirely open to photography. This naturally did not prevent me from snapping a 'few' shots with my Google Pixel 4, after Yoji Shinkawa (of Metal Gear Solid fame), Miyazaki is my favorite contemporary Japanese artist........
Love Studio Ghibli. Visited their museum a few years back. Magical place..

My faves are porco rosso, the wind rises, howl’s moving castle, spirited away to name a few but wasn’t too taken with earthsea. On a slightly different note, i was tempted to get that porco rosso seiko but found the chrono too thick. Who knows. Maybe one of these days.
What makes his artwork so universally enduring is the fact that his style appeals to people of all ages, while the subject matter itself is as mature as it gets so different demographics can read into it to their own level of subjective ability.... Thanks for looking, Filip
