Taken in the winter of 2020 with my Google Pixel 4 main camera unit of 12MP resolution. Cropped thereafter to emphasize the panoramic landscape quality....

but I can certainly imagine.... This is the Coachella Valley area of the California desert, specifically La Quinta and Palm Desert, looking out toward Indio to the East, and the San Bernardino mountains to the North. Palm Springs is West of the location I shot these images at, it is by far the most famous city globally of the neighboring cities that comprise the Coachella Valley. Cheers, Filip

among my top three from this set as well! The curious fact of that picture is that it was taken from the rooftop helipad of the local hospital as I was briefly assigned to do security work for the hospital. Therefore, almost nobody else has access to taking that exact frame due to the highly restricted location! Cheers, Filip

But we were staying on the far end of Indio where the desert rules supreme. Here heading back up to the west...

of the pandemic, I pragmatically rented an apartment for myself in the heart of Indio, across from the fairgrounds on Arabia street! I spent just over a year there and think of it as the best decision I could have made when it comes to avoiding covid-related drama.... This was partly the reason I was absent from posting here for over two years . I continue to thoroughly enjoy your contributions to the photo and Seiko forums! Much appreciated, Filip

The Coachella valley used to be my stomping grounds, I lived there until I moved to San Diego in 2000. The desert is an unbelievably wonderful place to be with lots to do and 350 days of sunshine! Summers of course get hot but if you can get out of town for a month and you have good air-conditioning it’s no big deal, the beauty remains.

The barely bearable summer heat is truly the only detriment to the desert environment. You obviously have to have good air conditioning and not be obligated to work in the heat. Otherwise, the landscape is as gorgeously picturesque as it gets. Certainly far prettier than any urban sprawl. Cheers, Filip

I haven't technically ranked them myself, but that one would be in my top 2 undoubtedly. Obviously, those last three shots were taken minutes apart as the Sun was setting behind me....
