Team,
Last Sunday I bumped on a friend watch seller that was wearing a Zenith Elite.
I asked the classic "How much?" and he mentioned that he was selling this watch on a local site by five "songs".
I passed, because it was way too much.
Later we bumped again and he asked for an offer.
I was not truly interested on the watch and I did a very low ball offer and, to my surprise, he accepted and handled the watch to me.
Time passes ...
Lunch time, I arrived at home and my wife asked (as she always do) "what was the catch of the day" and I handled it to her.
She immediately strapped the Elite on her wrist, look at it and said "It's mine!".
As usual I had the final words: "Yes, dear".
She is wearing the watch all week and I need to ask permission to take pics. She comply with "Only pics. Return to me after that".
Here are the pictures:
1) It's a very nice watch. I love the running seconds sub dial at 9, balancing the date at 3.
2) The movement, caliber 680 that I learned that is very reliable and simple. She needs to send the watch to my watchmaker for a full maintenance, as I always do.
3) Love the hands. Very easy to read.
(Yes, the background is a cigar box. I don't smoke anymore but the box is very cool to hold some watch straps)
4) On the wrist of the owner. Cell phone picture that I took on the day of the "kidnap").
A wonderful weekend to all,
Nilo
