Zenith

This is a watch of firsts for me...my first yellow gold watch which I have been thinking about for some time but more importantly my first Zenith. Initial impressions are really great, it was sold in 1997 but doesnt really look a day older and the enamel dial is quite a unique feature. More thoughts to follow hopefully but here is a quick pic:

Welcome to Zenith, and a great piece as your debut. Just thinking, do you know it's service history? The case and dial look prestine, but the day doesn't appear to be centered properly, so you might want to get that looked at. 

good eyes, i spotted that too. luckily i have a zenith watchmaker nearby that i trust so i was going to get him to look at the adjuster dimples as they seem a little stiff to me. its keeping excellent time so far though

It looks pretty good to me.

i noticed that as well, it re-sets to 29.5 and not 30...an easy fix. the day is definitely out as well. im not too fussed, definitely a good excuse for a check up.

I have a friend that will love this gold El Primero.

I agree with "Spellbound" about the day been off center.

A wonder like this one deserves a perfect maintenance.

as a chronograph lover it was just a matter of time i do keep staring at the dial, the opaque look is amazing when it catches the light

i'm going to give it a little wrist time and enjoy it for a couple of weeks and then check it in for a once over.

This is one of those 'timeless classics'...I have the black dialed version ...13yrs old and still loving it!

completely agree, i think the chronomaster is a style that would have looked at home 50 years ago as it still does today. best, tim

you are right, i am not dissapointed at all. yours is equally as stunning, i would recommend zentih to anyone now as i am sure you would too. best, tim
