... since when patek communicate on those issues? While we always hear all kind of rumors on productions numbers, one shot editions here or there, etc... Just talk from dealers and flippers that are trying to give it some hype.
Whats the point on echoing it and giving them some kind of credit. We all know its just rumors whatever you will read here as well.
Let's talk about the watch itself, it would be interesting to hear more about impressions of new owners. Its a big novelty, new variation of cal240, 1st regulator, etc...

Well.......
I have already posted a few comments on other threads. I love the fit of the watch to my wrist - the slightly shallower case fits my wrist better than for example my much thicker 5960P. The reflections on the sapphire glass generally and also the sub dials specifically are more than other watches, it seems to catch the light much more. The hands I think could be slightly bolder too, but otherwise I love it and have been wearing it a lot. I met up with another forum member yesterday - photos to follow!
As to rumours of its gestation and continuity, I have been told no more production, and I have also been told regular production is ramping up in 2014 and they are currently clearing the order backlog. Who knows for sure!

Another observation!
I am wearing it today and I was thinking that actually elements of the case design are very JLC-like in nature, specifically the profile of the case but also the mix of brushed and polished finishes on the side of the case. As I think JLC case design is exceptional, this is a good thing!

I agree with Suitbert and Miranda (post from June 2011) ...
the case looks quite similar or at least shows similarities with the Ref. 3448 and also the Ref. 3450.

the lugs and case do indeed resembles 3448. more so that 3450, cause longer lugs.
