Everybody must hate my 5131G already
so back to the other white-and-blue 240 calibre watches.
I love the Golden Ellipse and this color combination is without hesitation my favorite. And the dial loves natural light.
The very slim profile of Golden Ellipse does not harm at all!
For years I have been thinking that the dial of 5140 is a bit messy. But when I look it closer, it is in the end not too bad.
Messy or not, the color of the dial is fantastic and combined with the platinum case, the watch is the nicest (simple) perpetual I know! (Sorry EDJA.)
Nautilus 3712 can always be trusted. I love the composition of the dial and the watch is incredibly slim and thus comfortable.
I never get bored to watch my Nautilus. From any angle because the dial is playing some incredible tricks.
I have been bothering you from the morning with new pictures. Sorry for that. I am just trying to learn to take some decent photos and practice is needed.

Just came back from Odessa, have not seen all this terrific snapshots of your navy blue marvels.
I am a big fan of navi blue color. Seriously.
80% of my suits are navy blue and thats why i love 5140 face in platinum so much.
Kari, as the person who spend many years working with ocean and sea transport business, i guess, that color of your watches remind you the color of the ocean. Am i right?

P.S. being in Odessa i just forgot about 5131 and 5140 as well as 5270 - i have never seen so wonderful girls in one square meter. Its just impossible but its true...
I know something about the "hot spots" of
Russia.
My first visit was in 1961 to Leningrad when I was still the size of a dick...
In 1974 I started to work in the agency of Soviet Ministry of Merchant Marine and after that I had probably hundreds of business trips to Soviet Union, later to Russia, Ukraine, White Russia, etc. Before 1990 on of the hot spots was Murmansk. Around 500,000 inhabitants and roughly 70% of the men working in merchant marine or the navy. Those were the days!
You are totally right; navy blue is my favorite color. I was sailing in 1972 & 1973 in the mature age of 15-16 but decided to to the high school because there was too much work onboard. But I never got much distance from the sea and I even made my military service in the Finnish Navy.
Anyhow, to be honest I think you need to get 5140P and after that 5131G would suit with that. Finally, i.e. 5102P would fit well to the collection to be ended with 5078P with blue writing on white enamel dial (a special order).
So if you need some good ideas, just contact me...

English is not my mother tongue...
but my dictionary tells that dick and tool are meaning the same. In Lapland many people say that when a boy is small and still very short that "he's the size of "työkalu" that I translated to dick. Lol.

I share your thoughts about the 'messiness' of the perpetual's dial. For me the radial inversions of the numbers and letters make it look a bit confused at times. Still a magnificent timepiece.
All in all a fabulous collection for every occasion!

One day 5102G or 6102P, 5070P or preferably a blue dialed 5170P. And what might come on the 175 years Anniversary? I have asked many but got only one piece of information and about that, I have to shut up.

But my personal economics do not really allow me to get one so I have to stick to your pics and the visits to ADs.

Why not a Lange, Kari?
Have a look into the technical aspect of a Double Split, for instance:
it is a mechanical chrono where you can store a once taken time (best time of a race) and than set the "other" chrono back (as it is a
double chono) and start again.
And if the new time is better you can even make an adjustment of the former best time and store the new best time by only pushing a
pusher twice and there you are: the former best time has been beaten and with the same hands you have stored it.
There is no other watch on the market with this "complication".
One thing is a bit of a minus of the DS: it is rather big, BUT for a reason .

Very interesting points dear Count,
if I should name my favorite watch brand from the back, it would be Lange without any hesitation. When speaking about the dial and total appearance, Patek is my favorite brand.
Typically Lange is somehow too "cold" for me and in most of the cases it's the deal killer. Furthermore, I love slim watches taking into account the complication as well as I like to have modestly sized watches. These speak for Patek.
I respect Lange a lot but they do not have too many watches I would love on the first sight. The Anniversary watch with white enamel dial is such but it is not an easy watch to find in perfect condition with reasonable price.
