Would you trade a 5134g and a yellow gold, blue dial submariner for a 5110p? I once had a 5110 white gold and have missed it and have a chance to get a platinum 5110 but will require letting go of a ncie yg 5134 and gold sub to get the 5110p. Just like some other opinions of whether this makes sense or not? Thanks for your advice.
I've also owned the 5110g and 5130p and now the 5131g... so I absolutely understand the allure of the PP worldtime. Would you prefer to keep you yellow gold sub and search for a 5110g (trading your 5134 plus a bit of cash) instead of the 5110p?
but for me it would be hard to let go the 5134, even when you get one of the most beautiful world timers. All of them are perfect for several occassions, but the one you already have is even more understated which could be perfect for business. Regarding the YG Rolex, I would trade it in without any doubts.
Are these are the only two watches you have or are these

the only two you would consider letting go to get the 5110P? If you've got other pieces, then the trade may make sense. If not, your love for the 5110p better run pretty deep.
Over the course of years, being fortunate to have acquired a number of different watches by various manufacturers, I found there is one piece I discovered I really want to have and keep. Four months ago, I sold four of my best watches, didn't want to because one of them was my "bomb" watch but I felt I had to. Two weeks ago, I traded 12 pieces to get a "bomb" back. And, I loved all I traded, but I wanted the "bomb" more than the others. Did it make sense? To others, probably not, but it did to me.
Now, after 30 years I've finally identified the pieces for me and got the pieces I really want. What a journey! I'm sure it cost me a ton along the way doing stupid things and I only hope you can get there faster with less cost than me.
I traded my 5134g plus cash for a 5110p. (I posted about this on this site back in February). I have no regrets and I think is was definitely the right decision. It's hard to do wrong when you are trading up through the Patek range....
