Patek Philippe

Just wanted to show a few pictures of my favorite watch.  This was a long process, as it was missing a first generation dial marker and the original crown.  Every part is original.  I was able to finally get everything put together.  This watch looks amazing.  Let me know what you think.  Just wanted to thank John for all the help!

2526 is iconic Patek, it's a very desirable piece, at least to me. Classic and timeless. Please post your photo and share soon. I'm very eager to see it.

I have seen many Cream Colored Patek 2526s but there is nothing like the Black Dial.  I have fallen in Love with the simplicity of the Dial and Case.  I have found myself wearing it more and more. Should I be concerned with the Enamel Dial Cracking?  

And as for your concern with the fragility of the dial, I see no reason why it should crack because of wearing.

I have never ever heard of any case of this kind. The fragility of the enamel dial is while opening the watch for service if the watchmaker is not a skilled PP one. Again here also the risk is limited if you go to PP for service. Mine (2526J white enamel dial) was properly serviced for years by PP and I have never encountered any problem.

. . . Patek.  The 9'" - 90s are still personal favorites, followed closely by these black dialed Calatravas and other similar references, like the 1578.
