I have received this piece for quite some times and it actually grows on me.
Comparing this to its predecessors, this new 5270G stands out on many points (in my humble opinions):
1. Legibility of different fonts on dials: Maybe I am getting older, so I really like the new font size and dial
2. Movement: Comparing to 5970G, I could feel more robustness of the movement when winding, although times will tell how it will be after a couple of years of usage. Winding a crown is really smooth. If I were to rank, 5270G is better than 3970G, and 3970G is better than 5970G
3. Thickness: this 5270G offers better diameter to thickness ratio
A little picture of these 3Gs
Some may say that this new dial lack symmetry, which I agree, but maybe I get use to it already because of another brand chronos

and can live with this imperfection...
