Hi gurus, would like to seek some advise/ your thoughts on a simple question.
If you were to consider a start into Patek, what would be your 1st watch (not neccessary new).
My constraints would be
1. Price: USD $20-30k
2. Worldtimer or Annual calendar range
3. Materials: RG or WG
4. Dial: Black, white or grey.
I am not a rich man to start off with and all the watches that I have are all through hard savings, not some spare cash lying around from a lottery. So is it truly achievable or am I just dreaming again. LOL!
Looking forward to your thoughts for a novice.

Don't see any better first ( even if it is the only one, by the way ) PP.
A superb look, an icon, a fine movement, a friendly complication, and a nice case, all that makes that this watch has no real contender...
What else?
Best.
Nicolas
Thanks Nico.

Hi Pat,
this is a lot of bucks you are able to spend for your first PP.
I am with Nicolas if you want a pretty "new" watch take a world timer - an all time classic... I have a 5110 PT and I love it very much.
But for this money you can buy incredible vintage PPs.
A Ref. 2508 or 570 (is a bit larger as the Calatrava icon ref 96) are classic designs to be recommended.
An "Amagnetic" in SS is also an icon!
Or an "Hourglass" if you like rectangle watches with the famous Cal. 9-90
There are so many fantastic vintage PPs if you have 20K to spend.
The only problem with vintage - they are much smaller than modern PPs - depends on the size of your wrist.
kind regards
Erich
Finding one for 20 K USD would be a miracle, and I would immediately jump on it if correct and in good condition.
Best,
Nicolas.
Here goes my long hunt for the grail.

The lack of a seconds hand would be a drawback for me. But, of the 5110 vs 5130, I'd go with the 5110 for the more elegant hands.but hunting one down would be my quest.

that you're a newbie or hiding behind a new nick.
If you have real advice to give then it would be appreciated, else pls stay out.
btw it's "you're poor" or "you are poor", not "your poor".

Anyway, remember that a watch never close a search...
I wish you best in your challenge.
