I love it's case, the matte dial is just mindblowing

The movement is 10 times nicer than a 5070 (never thought I would ever say that)

Size would be too small (37) but for such a piece of art I would't mind

Make this a bit bigger and use the new Patek chrono movement we find in the 5170, give it a white gold case and the same dial............ it would be a HUGE hit !

I love it !!!

You know, I'm glad it is so insane expensive. If it were affordable, I would be very pissed of if I couldn't get one.

 

In fact, its dimensinos and volumes are to be understood as a cushion shape case... Which may be enormous, at least much bigger than the 5070.

I don't know, I'm just thinking loud.

As for the other points, I can't comment.

look at the movement, it fits perfectly in the case. Not many spacer are used

it almost is the same size and the movement is 29.5mm .... can't be a big watch

Serial Patek collectors that have to have every single High End model. There are more and more of them in the Neuveau Rich group of Asians.

No real chance of seeing the end of this high price madness ...

It is not a Patek (by movement), it is not precious metal, it is huge for Patek standards ... just the price tag is very Patek.

This is yet another blund marketing product.

It is getting boring: the cleaning woman has found in the attic yet again some forgotten movements?!

And this melodramatic finding of the 16th movement ... that had to be confirmed ... confirmed?!

And it is a chrono: not a coicidence as I saw in Germany quite a few 5170j at several ADs "ending" in the windows.


I do not know: the WT Mecca edition has literally epic proportions and is a special Patek, even more nowadays.

But chucking in a non Patek movement into a steel case and asking that much for it: something for gamblers or in the best scenario

for people who believe to be as "special" as this piece.


I personally would restrain myself from buying exessiveley overpriced Pateks and would rather spend, still the same amount, but on

a nice, balanced Patek collection with all the simple and some more complicated pieces.

Wow! It's not exactly competing with the little 5170 then is it? That's WAYYY beyond the price of a 5970, 5270 and a LOT of other BIG pieces...

I'm just kidding. Not for me, but I'd rather save for a 5960P anyway. This is starting to resemble Bordeaux futures. Expensive grape juice, but so good .

To have informed everybody that I bought 15 out of 16  pieces...

I wanted to flip them hard, to fund my next Villa on the Riviera.

Thr platinum rule is simple: Double Sealed: Double premium. Triple sealed: ( The third seal is provided by me for free, plus my personal handwritten Life warranty )=Douible premium + The Villa on the Riviera + the  parking place for the Bentley Continental GT waiting for me at  Nice airport .

Now, maybe Patek will change his mind about me and won't accept to deliver me the 15 pieces?  No, they won't?
