It always cracks me up when ever I see a watch with a moon phase that is not set correctly. Over the years of veiwing these pictures it is very common for this to occur; I would say maybe 75% of the time.
Is it really that difficult to set the moon; they take the time to set everything else.
I've just checked and assuming the pic was taken this year the full moon in May is the 17th so this watch on the 8th should be approaching the full moon while in the pic it has just passed a full moon.
Never noticed this in pics before.
However what an absolutely stunning piece...if only..!!
Yours,
Andy.
Even if, on PC, the moonphase has to be synchronized with the perpetual calendar...
Can you imagine when it is not linked with a perpetual calendar?
Each time the watch is not wound, you have to check what is the exact moonphase, which is a bit fastidious.
Back to the Moonphase on this PC Chrono PP, it is a bit amazing to see that it is not properly set.
Indeed.
Best and thanks, Andy.
Nicolas.
I don't know how one would set a PC and whether you could just advance the moonphase without all the other parts coming into play.
For Xmas my mum got me a moonphase calendar which is great and makes setting my reverso so much easier...but I have to admit I generally don't set it (even though it is set at the moment) as I don't wear it for long enough to need to set it.
This PP is just stunning though...and having just looked at the new PC Chrono from this year with the 2 windows I do much prefere this one...just need that Lotto win now
Yours my friend,
Andy.
And you need to send the watch to the Manufacture to set it properly...
Best, Andy.
Nicolas.
I can understand why it's not set now.....but then again shouldn't they set it at the factory before sending it out..?
Wow.
Andy.
Does the dedicated button allow such an independant setting?
Interesting.
Best, and thanks for the precision / correction.
Nicolas.
