Patek Philippe

hi, I have seen the change in caliber that patek has done recently, i am interested in knowing the advantage and disadvantage of each caliber. I understand that tha caliber 315 has been in thr pp 5146 sinse 1996. Has there been any difference in the 315 in all those years? I have the 315 and i have not had any problems. I wonder if the 324 is a much better caliber. like your opinions thanks jorge 

As it beats at 28,800 hertz compared with the 315 that beats at 21,600.

Theoretically yes, a faster beat does imply higher accuracy.  However, a stable balance wheel at a slow beat can realize higher accuracy than a similar watch with a faster beat. 

Last but not least, the 324 has a shorter power reserve. 

Agreed. However, if all else is equal, a higher beat rate will be desired. Otherwise, you will only need a higher beat rate when you have a chronograph complication.

Firsty: the wear and stress for the oszilating system is less.

Secondly and more importantly: from high end manufacturers I expect accuracy also at lower beat rates.

Same applies to movements: thin ones, please.
