This seems to be the rarest dial version of this ref , I have only found one other - and I personally think its the best - like yours it has a large seconds register which I feel adds to the appeal

I bought this watch from a small local auction house in Sydney about 4 years ago. I had not owned or worn a watch for 25 years, but I was mesmerized by the dial, and just had to have it. I got it for a steel (ha ha), but it started a disease thats cost me a fortune.
The one shown on the Antiquorum site is the only other one I have come accross.
I would be interested to know if any other members have one.
It doesnt mention anything about the dial on the extract. When I took the watch to have it serviced (at Australias only authorised Patek service centre - who gives fantastic service at a very reasonable cost I might add). Max advised me he did not think the hands were original and ordered new ones. I was a little dissappointed by this information as I loved the watch as it was. I couldnt see how "stick hands" would look right on this watch. I then did some reserch and found the one on the above mentioned site, and realised it was original as I had thought. Max wrote to Patek about this issue but he never heard back from them, I also worte them a letter, but I got no responce.

i used to live in Sydney (from 1995-2001) but i did not find any pateks (i mean vintage pateks) there. if you find any other vintage pateks please let me know! i will fly there to buy them (ha)!!

as for the hands, the other one that was for sale at Antiquorum (NOV/1999) had luminous hands as yours. so i think the hands of your amagnetic could be the original. here is the details of the other amagnetic.

When i saw the photo of the watches, it seriously blew me away!
9.99/10. No doubt. Simple, clean, elegant lines. Nothing compares with this watch from the modern day patek collection. Totally different from antimagnetic watches prduced today, i.e, MILGAUSS (bad comparison i know!)
I'd start hunting for one of these bad boys.. can't get it out of mind! I can sense it's going to be a while before i find it!!! This is definitely going to be a quest in my life now!
