my first patek was in the 1990(24 yrs olds) 3802 and then the 1989 anniversary jump hour. yes i bought them with my own money and very proud of that. i have been collecting ever since .
First real watch for my 16 birthday, Longines 14kt. WG manual hours and minutes only, still have it. First Patek, a half hunter pocket, won playing golf with some rich guys, at The Bourbon Open in Bardstown, KY. Gone the first time I went broke, but not forgotten. Latest Patek #5000J, love the 240 movement. Next, God willing, #5119J. Other than my everyday beaters, have only worn one of the "Big Three" for the last 40+ years. God Bless America, Miki
I read all your posts and am delighted about the joy and enthusiasm you spread around in this forum about your magnificent Ref. 5127R.
I am 57 and bought the first PP for my Girl Friend in 1985 - a Ref. that I don't remember. It took me 20 years after that to buy my first PP for myself in 2005- a Ref. 3734/2, followed by the first 5146J sold by the Salon de Geneve in June '06. Followed 3800/1A from 1983, the 5296G, the 3711G, the 5070G and finally the 5105P (If I was as good as you on photographs I would post some pics of it here). The next will be a 5970G to stop this craze with the purchase of the - yes: Ref. 5127R.
I wish the best of health to you and a lot of nice posts with phantastic pics from you for us on the forum.
