but I find this example rather plain. I’ve never owned a watch with this type of crystal but I wonder if how it handles light would be interesting or annoying over time.
But this simplicity is exactly what I like personally. With the little “twist” of the faceted crystal, which I think I would like very much on a daily basis. But I would have to experiment to be sure! Best, Emmanuel

And particularly ref 2461 as well as ref 425. They are incredibly classy and charming, this is definitely a watch for connoisseur. As you mention to my knowledge not all were originally delivered by PP with a faceted crystal (plexi actually) but the majority were. This faceted crystal is the small detail that makes a big difference imo. All are nice but for these watches I very prefer colored gold (yellow or rose) rather than white gold or platinum as it brings more flair and highlights the vintage look of the watch.
Talking about beautiful vintage PP shaped watches with faceted crystal, one of my favorite is probably the “Hour Glass” ref 1593 you should have a look at it, it is very classy also…
