Platinum case, black enamel dial and Split Seconds manual winding chronograph. What's not to like?
One of the few modern Patek dreams I have, along with the 5970P and a minute repeater such as the 3939 or the 5078.

I think they were just overpriced at retail, or overproduced.
The retail price always seemed ambitious to me, even by Patek Phillipe standards. They can charge insane prices for the 5373P and it holds value okay because they don't make a lot of them, while they made a bunch of 5370s.
Dream, nothing less!

What's not to love in 5370P? Obviously not much to criticize as I see so many positive points in this reference: a very beautifully shaped case, a mesmerizing enamel dial, and a totally amazing movement!
As you said with right Nico, the original price point was stiff but now the present market value is a better balance to reflect the beauty of this piece but also the number of pieces available.
I would have been surely very tempted by this 5370 p if it would have been a bit smaller: with a 41 mm diameter and not so short straight lugs it most regrettably doesn't fit well on my wrist...
If only the lugs would have been curved it would have help a lot to compensate the relatively large diameter, but with such straight lugs it's unfortunately a no go for me... 😢🤷♂️ the size is its only weak point imho

It’s an incredible piece I can only agree but these straight lugs with such a large diameter case made it a no go for me. You have no idea how I regret it as I truly love this watch it ticks almost except one key box 🙈😭😭
I have the 5370 Blue. It is truly an epic watch. The dial is extremely difficult to capture with a photo but is mesmerizing in person. I find it very versatile and it gets a ton of wrist time.
It was enough to be noticeable to me...
...a bit smaller/thinner and/or in white gold (or better, steel) and it might not be an issue...
