To me, the best version yet! The ivory dial takes my thoughts to Colonial Africa. A gentleman adventurer bush pilot flying in for safari!  

I had always liked the dark blue dial of the original but this ivory dial really transforms the watch.

I own the blue-dial 5524G-001, but I also prefer this new ivory dial variant over the previous version.  I think this dial color works well with a large variety of strap colors, so you can find a combination that matches whatever style you are after very easily.

Concerning straps, I’m imagining canvas would pair well too.

...I wish they did the date every other number...so all odd numbers or all even numbers. Yes, the type would probably have to be smaller, but it bugs me when this convention is used...

I like your idea, my least favorite thing about the 5524 is the date numbering. It isn't simply every other date like 1 .. 3 .. 5 .. etc, it skips 2 dates like 1 .. 4 .. 7 .. 10 .. etc. This always throws me off a bit when reading the date and I find it to be a bit of a nuisance.
Not a huge issue by any means, but it is probably the thing I would most like to change on the model (even though this extra spacing is aesthetically pleasing to my eye).

Reminds me of the color of the 5320-001. I wonder if it’s the same color?

I have to say even the bracelet actually matches pretty well. Is this the bigger size ? (Can’t remember the dimensions) I have the small er size in blue and love it amongst all
