Which Patek World Timer?
Now that prices have cooled and are reasonable, I'm thinking of picking up one of my favorite Patek models.
5110 - Love the guilloche pattern on this one the most. It's basic, but looks nice IMO and suits the watch.
5130 - Dial pattern is less exciting but the hour hand style I like more. The larger 39mm size is probably better for my 7.25 inch wrist.
I could go either way, but am leaning towards the 5110 because I like the guilloche pattern more. Is there any other difference between the two that I missed? The 5130 is newer, but I believe the movement is the same and it didn't change in any way from the previous version?

Personal watch is a personal decision. Communal watch would be a communal decision - but it's not a communal watch now is it?
I've wanted the 5110 for a long time :)
Just didn't make sense in 2020/2021 and now prices seem to be similar to 2018/2019 so I'm ok with it. I can't really think of a world timer that I like more design wise. I guess there's the Lange 1 TimeZone which I like...but the big date looks wonky on the L1 IMO. Especially after experiencing the big date on the Glashutte Original, which has a more "even" looking plane for the numbers (not sure how to describe it)
Can't really think of any other world timers in the ~low - mid 20s with a similar aesthetic? Maybe Anderson Geneve but I never see any of their watches pop up used...and I don't like to buy new.

even though the WT will be your watch and not a “communal” watch as by another member. However it is a “communal” watch in that we are a horological community and share the same passion, right ?

With my comments above, IMO I love the iconic scissors ✂️ hands on the 5130 which has the sunburst guilloche pattern.
5110 has a lovely pattern as well but I believe, based on articles I read previously, it is a stamped dial and not a guilloche one. Whether guilloche or not, 5110 also has a well balanced dial with lovely sword ⚔️ hands. Size is a bit smaller.
Hence my vote is for 5130 and here is a wrist shot of 5131 with a spiced up strap. Let us know what you decide ! Any Patek WT is a great choice 👍
You should try them on. This is the only way to make your decision. Personally, having owned both of them, I prefer the 5110, which is not that small. I would say that the dia / case ratio is perfect on the 5110.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to find a 5110 where I live! Oddly enough, even in the local watch meetup group I'm in, there aren't any hardcore PP or AP guys. I think it's because both brands have a weak presence in Canada.

The 5110 would be too small for you. The 5130 may fit your wrist better but the same movement does not look as good as in a 2mm larger case. So go for the 5230, it is the latest world timer with a beautiful guilloche dial.

I don't love the guilloche pattern on the newer 5230 unfortunately. But you really think the 5110 would be small? I used to have a Rolex 36mm (gen before current) and that was ok but did look a touch small. Lange 1 was a littttttttle small but OK, and the 36mm AP i had looked good IMO.

my wrist is 6.75 inches and the 5110 and 5230 fit well but not the 5130.
Everybody loves the look of the 5110, BUT
IMO it's just too small to do justice on the wrist. If it were bigger, then 1st choice in terms of looks. I ended getting the 5130j first and got so many comments. I thought the 5130r looked better and traded the 5130j for the 5130r. I never got 1 comment about the 5130r. It looked boring, even though rg is beautiful. I regretted letting go of the j. It just looks better overall.
