Patek Philippe Tourbillon Observatoire. A curious ressemblance...
By: amanico : August 22nd, 2024-07:37
The Patek:
And now, the Cal 170 from Jaeger Lecoultre, which won several chronometry contests in the late 40's...
Interesting.
Best,
Nicolas

Very few wrist watches can reach this level of finishings, alas.

In what era was this type of finishing common/expected in a 'nice' watch?

Akrivia movements remind me of this watch... they kind of took over the desing.

Same movement supplied to PP and VC, if I recall...
By: watchme : August 23rd, 2024-15:42
the VC 145, I think, but I could be wrong. Interesting that JLC added 3 jewels.
I hadn't seen any examples of JLC's tourbillon in a Patek. Thanks for showing.
