Need some help from all the experts here. Like my post suggests is there any way to reset the chronograph function of the 5960 white gold. My second hand stops at 9 for some reason. Appreciate it.

You need to have it serviced.
If it stops at 9 something is wrong. Don’t play with it but get in touch with a service center as soon as you can.
Alas, time for a visit to the Patek service center.

I had a similar issue with the 5960/01G and if you like to try this experiment....
Start the chrono and lay the watch dial side down, movement up....my watch balance wheel stop after couple minutes.
This is very interesting as watch works fine anyside without chrono on and when chrono on, only 1 side will make watch stop.
After messing with the chrono hand reset, the reset hand fly back to 11 o'clock, that's when I decided to send it in.
It came back after 1 month and I'm happy it is working fine.
I heard it's something quite common with this movement but I have the 5960P and 5960/1A that doesn't encounter this issue.
