As my daughter just came back from boarding school, our family had a short break at the nearby Macao. Wonderful weather, resort and food. Creating fond memories for the family π₯°.
Glad to see that you're fully enjoying your Nautilus π
By the way, are you comfortable swimming with it? It is only rated 60m, right? I was never confident to do it with my 5712, although I would love to (I would then take it on vacation more often, missing it right now... hehehe).
No problem at all. Despite both 5740 and 5712 are rated 60m water resistance, the most important water-resistant feature is the screwed down crown. Certainly you also need to make sure there has been regular checking of the O ring.

Have been swimming/ rinsing with my 5740 and 5712 from day 1 and they survive the water test with flying colours. On the other hand, I dare not doing the same with my wife's 7118, which is also rated the same water resistance but without a screwed down crown. Bring your 5712 with you at the pool, it will upgrade the swimming experience tremendously. Cheers, Henry
My 5712 could definitely be a perfect summer-vacation companion. I think that I'll follow your advice next year. And I have time to have it serviced in the meantime, as I bought it quite a few years ago and no check ever since.
By the way, I'm always curious to know why most of the other Nautilus are rated 120m, not sure what the difference might be.
I have much confident on the construction of nautilus case and the screwed down crown. Casual swimming is well tolerated by 5740. Please bring yours out for a spin too!
Thank you, Shun. With the port window design of nautilus (although a three pieces construction instead of the 2 pieces) and most importantly screwed down crown, there is no worries in bringing this beauty into water.

The bridge between Hong Kong and Macao has been completed and put into function. Though I still like to travel by high speed ferry, which takes less than a hour, compared with 2hr+ travel by bus.
