I can honestly say it’s the first time I look at that watch and think “not bad actually”.
The stones manage to do something that the elaborate engraved cases never seemed to do. It’s possible that they may even make the watch look a little more contemporary (something I’ve been discussing over on the Journe forum today).

I certainly agree on your broader point --- while there's (probably!) no doubt that Ref. 6300 is one of the most remarkable pieces horology can offer today (its combination of technical and historical significance is almost unprecedented)...

Honestly, I am very much hoping to "casually" run into these references also in Italy and the US, though I'm sure it won't happen too often! I'll take a "tour" of some ADs next week during the Thanksgiving break, as it might help me get a sense of what the more "silent" collectors think, and soon after I already have in the agenda a private meeting with Patek. +1, I believe we haven't had any on the forum yet, but I'd love to see the first owner's pics too! :-) I had a meeting after we made this announcement but the new 5271Ps weren't available yet, so even your Patek mod has yet to see them in person! ;-))
Please just note that while all four of these new models are technically in-catalog, production will be *extremely* limited... I doubt they will even be available as part of the carnet for client events this year, so for most people the best bet will just be one of the Salons
But let's cross our fingers, and hope some of the great collectors we have on here will be allocated one and....post a wristshot for us!

I believe the gentleman currently does not have a personal WPS account. His Patek Philippe watches are truly second to none, so like all passionate collectors around the world, it would be fantastic if he joined WPS! ;-)

The earlier 5271 diamond iteration is totally spectacular, but with these new sapphire and ruby versions we are possibly at an even higher level! :-) Did you have a chance to see them in person already?
They were not immediately available and I haven't yet, but I'm badly looking forward to, especially when it comes to the ruby....hopefully before summer!
PS: I'm willing to place a bet right here F. that, if interested, given your collection you WILL --- no doubt --- qualify for one of them (we know you've been offered even more exclusive pieces in the past... ) Cheers.
