i am close to pulling the trigger on a 5270P as i am missing a grand complication in my collection. i feel this watch is underrated and will be sought after in the future, but most important is very elegant wit the salmon dial and i see it very much a Patek!
let me know what you think so that i can make an informed decision.
thanks.

I love the way the dial complements the strap and the platinum case. I suspect it will be a winner over the long term. Is the watch still made. I may try to get on the list to get one. Thanks
If you are buying a watch because you think it will be sought after in the future.

I would really rethink your motive. You should buy a watch because you love it and a fire inside you says I have to have this watch on my wrist. This has served me well over the last 30 years. All Patek PCCās are special and the one you choose should ignite that fire in your belly. If it doesnāt walk away. If itās the Salmon dial that is pulling you then I get it but if not then reconsider and look at a 5970 if itās future recognition or value you are seeking. Good luck with your fortunate decision. M.
Regardless of future marketability, which is always impossible to predict, you seem to concur it's a stunning watch...and, indeed, "very much a Patek!" Hence my advice is to follow your heart and bring it home! ;-)
Pull that trigger. Itās so aesthetically exquisite, not to mention horologically soā¦

The anthracite hands with the legible black numerals and the coordinates accent of the deep navy moon phase, all set against the classic salmon pink dial cased in platinum. How do you beat that?
Last year when Patek announced the 5270J over the summer everyone was surprised and overwhelmed because it was a surprise summer release! This year Iām wondering if we may see the last production pieces of the 5270P before it is discontinued⦠I would say if you are looking to purchase the 5270P and youāve had your mind set on itās acquisitionā¦GO FOR IT! Or else you may one day regret having missed the chanceā¦
