A great reference, glad that it seems to receive more love now that it did initially...the Leicester version (we have at least a couple on WPS) was epic! Cheers. [nt]
Love this 5960. Bought the white dial when it first came out and kept it for a while before giving it to a relative. Had a chance to purchase the black dual from Patek Place Vendome...

and even went to the boutique to try it on at the time. I decided on another watch but kind of regret it a bit since the black dial was such a short run.
Guess that is life. You win some and you lose some π€·ββοΈ
IMHO, the 5960 is one of Patek's best modern designs for practicality. I just wished it was a bit more water resistant, which would make it the perfect do anything watch π
Well, if I did purchase the black dial I most certainly would have kept it but at that time I decided on another watch instead of the black 5960/1A ππ€·ββοΈ

not the first or last watch regret sadly, such is life π€
It was not a total loss as I think I did well with my other choice BUT as I always say to you or others, the correct choice would have been BOTH...

this was my choice at the time. Belonged to a friend and decided between this and the 5960/1A black.
The ONLY answer should have been both but I don't think I could have gone wrong either way π
It was a difficult choice at the time but in the end I thought it would be easier to get a black 5960/1A in the future than this Comex Sub so I had to make the choice...

If I could do it all over again, I will most certainly take both and not have the regret π
Looking at all the photos, do owners prefer the hours counter on the outside (as on my 5960A white opaline dial) or on the inside? Is there a legibility improvement in one version over the other? Why did Patek change it?
One year production make it a relatively rare watch.

I don't know the exact production numbers for the 5960/1A black dial but I think 5960G -010 Moscow edition (100 pieces) is rare compared to the 5960/1A black dial. 5960P-016 was also produced for 1 year and that makes it a rare watch too. I regret not getting a 5960. I had the opportunity to buy a 5960P-016 in 2016 and the AD could not sell the watch for several years. I was offered a 5960/1A white dial in 2017 and a black dial in 2018 but on both occasions I declined and bought other watches.
