Patek generic is very much about handicrafts. The 149 flawless white Top Wesselton diamonds and 182 rose sapphires embedded in the rounded contour case are so precise & smooth showing Patek’s expertise in gemsetting & artistry. Setting on the ultra-thin self-winding caliber 240 is a natural color mother-of-pearl hand engraved with feather motifs.

I've been told Patek loses 3 pieces of mother of pearl to cracks and flaws in the creation process for every one that turns into a handwork of art such as this.

Mother of Pearl!
I love the whole watch! The color, mother of Pearl and sapphires all come together so well. My brother and I bought it for our Mom’s Birthday 2 years ago. I think it suits her very well. Personally I do prefer bigger, more gentleman’s complicated pieces more 😅
But I know how difficult it is to use mother of pearl, furthermore, to engrave! I have the blue Aquanaut with the blue mother of pearl dial and had a chance to talk to the person who was responsible. It’s not uncommon to only arrive at 1 dial from the whole shell.
