The wait was a long time not only because of the small Patek Philippe authorized dealer in Charlotte, NC (and their diminished allotment of 5712/1A per year compared to the amount of buyers on that AD's wait list) but also because the years seem to fly by as I get older! 
Wore the Nautilus for the first time this morning and what a complete joy on my wrist. Compared to my Daytona (which pulls my wrist hair constant and makes me fidget constantly) the Nautilus has seemingly a bespoke fit and sits their comfortably.
I feel blessed to be in such a tiny percentile of the watch community by owning a Patek!
