- 5711/1R - 5712/R - 5726/1A - 5980/1A-019 white dal
I want to expand my nautilus collection, and have two choices: 5711/1A blue dial and 5990. The 5711/1A is iconic and I can have more dial colours. With 5990, however, I can expand the model line and does not have to repeat so early. For myself, I love both of them equally, but financially It is tight to get both at the same time. So would like to hear your opinion which to go for next. Thanks.
5711 /1A since you are missing a blue dial Nautilus....
5990/1A since it is a reference you don't yet have, and also only have one thicker/sportier one in the 5980/1A.
It really depends on what you enjoy wearing the most. Personally if it was me I would go blue with your set up.... assuming your 5726 is the gray dial one...
You seem to be a nautilus fan so in my opinion it would be a shame not to have an historical version. 3700 is quite expensive but 3710 nowadays has a very reasonable price. Best.
I don't enjoy too much about the power reserve indicator of 3710.

3711 should be nice, and I like the the feeling of being more hefty. But that would not serve the purpose of having different dial colour, as it quite matches that of 5726 and 5990 (if I get it later). If I get the 3711, I would definitely not get the 5711 in blue, on the other hand, it would also be nice to have more dial colours.... Very tough to make the call....
...but I think you can do no wrong. Both great pieces. To my mind, the biggest obvious "gap" in your set is the iconic blue dial. A 5711/1A of course addresses that. If you are a traveler on the other hand, easy choice. Or, as suggested, rework the current set to make room for both 😉😉😉
