Sector dial lovers
I love sector dial watches and asked to see 5296 versions.
Here is the RG version which recently gave me interest to look again to these referencies:
Then wanted to see the WG version:
My Thoughts after seeing these 2 versions.
I love the 2 tone dial on this sector version.
My favorite is the WG due to the combination of WG, grey colors and BLUE printings.
My wish would be that Patek Philippe offers a more height (volume) blue color printing on the inner circle and lines to give more life to this superb designed dial.
I hope Mr Thierry Stern will look at this post and surprised me in 2018 ;-))
A wonderful experience on wrist.
What do you think about these 2 under radar models?

Like you I vote for the white gold version. More modern in my opinion. Nevertheless, this model is a little bit "sad" for me. Of course, it's just my taste

I like the WG version, I agree it suits the dial better than the colored gold.
Date window is obtrusive imho. It breaks the flow in the sector design.

I love my 5296g sector dial but it would be even better without date

There are, fortunately, several very nice 5296 sector dial pictures from fellow purists here - searching '5296 sector' throws up many pictures taken by better photographers than me
Some of them very nicely illustrate this interesting phenomenon where the tone of the different rings alternate in intensity depending on the angle, which is something I love about this dial.
The same phenomenon is seen in my Habring2 as well - I think it has to do with the direction of the brushing? In any case, the play with light never fails to enthrall me.

Hi Patrickh, I prefer the
WG version because the color combination (WG case, blue hands, and gray dial) is more complementary.
This watch I have seen in the metal and is lovely.
The LF version (from your photo) is also interesting, although I have not seen it in the metal.

- what dial?

Traveler with enamel dial, very enticing ! I held my ground although I was tempted, especially given how weak I am generally with artisanal dials !

i had the "R" before it was stolen off my wrist. nice, but slightly nervous dial. i think the "G" is the better version.
