I can only replay what I heard at the manufacture some months ago
(1) PP are not making a big deal of this particular anniversary.
(2) there will be a couple of "specials", any day now.
(3) they are very much conscious of Naut dominating the brand so production is deliberately capped, even if that means reducing revenues/profits.

Heard the same (and a bit more).
There will be no launching of the two new Nautilus in mid October. Those are quietly distributed to the lucky ones during the 12 months to come.

I support Patek with their choice to keep the fortieth anniversary unpretentious. This watch is so popular that every year is a big birthday for it. It looks that the love for

Like someone else said, every nautilus is something to celebrate and I'm not expecting any ground breaking new anniversary piece from PP that will make me do backward flips. It will be nice... Patek nice.

I'm not (very) excited about platinum Nautilus and the same applies to platinum Rolex. Both watches are sporting watches and there are better materials for such a watch - as examples steel and titanium.
But if Patek would make a platinum QP with a strap, that would be too much for me to resist.

And your post got me thinking that we haven't had an "advanced research" piece for some time. The sportiness of the Nautilus would suit something a bit radical.

Not too long ago a Patek employee said to me that the Advanced Research program is not finished yet. I would love to get company for my 5450P & 5550P. Perhaps 5750P?
