Reputable preowned watch stores in london

Hi fellow purists. I will be in london in the next few weeks for a short vacation. Of course, as a watch enthusiast, i am very much excited to visit not only ADs but also preowned watch storesin the city. For those who are very much familiar with london, i will appreciate it very much if you could guide me there. Please send me a PM which preowned watch store in london (patticularly those selling pateks) is reputable. Thank you very much!

I am pretty sure I would win any accolade for being a 'computer genius' as I am still using Lotus 123, diskettes and write up my red accounting books in pen daily. I am quite an odd ball, not necessarily a good thing but I guess we all live within our comfort zones.

I tried left clicking the photo and nothing happened. I tried right clicking the photo and the commands that appear seem quite irrelevant like 'go to pictures'

Every author has a photo on the top right of his post.

it may be a real photo or an 'avatar'. Mine is a koala bear.

Yours is a grey head and shoulders outline with 2 gold stars and 264 posts listed (so far).

That avatar holds the author's profile and PM (private message} address box.

I have been doing exactly as you advised for the past 12 hours but nothing happens when I click the author's photo. I am using Windows 7 although I doubt if that should make a difference.

.........Watchclub in the Royal Arcade - they are in the middle of a revamp though so stock is off site. In the Burlington Arcade at least four including the likes of David Duggan and Armour Winston. Then Watches of Bond Street further North on Bond Street, there are several others but these are the ones that I know and use.

And a few in Gray Antiques Market but I can't vouch for them personally.

I would avoid Watchclub based on a personal experience.

There is really only one second hand dealer in London when it comes to Pateks due to it superior expertise, knowledge, friendliness, after sales service and product selection and that would be David Duggan at the Burlington Arcade which isllocated parralel to Old Bond Street. It has two former Patek boutique employees including the former manager and that even excludes David Duggan himself who knows Patek better than most. Unlike most other second hand dealers, David Duggan works closely with Patek and have an agreement not to buy any limited edition watches that are less than two years old to discourage opportunists. I do not know any other dealer with such integrity.

They have a couple of staff with extensive knowledge of Patek watches, who used to work at the WoS Patek boutique on Bond Street before Patek made it a Salon. However they also have a couple of fairly new employees. I would try to avoid the new lady working there if you can.
