Finally it arrived and I must confess that I am rapt away! The platinum case is awesome and the execution of every detail is simply stunning. I prefer the black dial, because it is more discreet and in the long run it is the better choice to me. Also due to the fact that the date-day-month are embedded in the same black color of the dial made the choice easy for me.

5960?

The push buttons of 5960 is ok. I liked those kind of pushers already on Universal Tricompax or so.
But case, dial layout and hands are much nicer on 5905. Killer DNA for me. Of course, just my personal taste.

I spoke with Santa and he said that you were a good boy in 2015. But he added that when one is really waiting for something, the Xmas feeling is appearing even in the middle of the summer when your blue 5905P arrives. Before that, you can add to your wish list i.e. the 40th Anniversary Nautilus.

You are right,Santa needs tan so he is probably visiting in summer with his red swim suit riding on a dolphin's back.

Unfortunately when I spoke to Santa last time he told me,You can't add your name on the 40th anniversary nautilus since You are not that good of a boy(not a loyal customer yet).Santa is mean sometimes Hahahaha

A detail: these hands with their quite 50's/60's look due to the luminous center part bring a nice touch of authenticity.

And the layout choice I like a lot in this watch: the 2 dial's metallic rings (one external to the markers and one on the inside) look gorgeous together with the markers: it has to be seen in the metal to observe it.

It stands very well on your wrist and is very elegant in black.

Can I ask what made you choose this reference?

I much prefer this over 5960. The case is much more refined (just take a look at those gorgeous lugs), the pushers are nicer, too. I always had problems with the exposed minute and hour counter at 6 o'clock of 5960. The 5960 PT with black dial was the best for me, here the dial was black all over. Of course, only my personal taste.
And as you already mentioned: I LOVE THOSE SPECIAL DAUPHIN HANDS...that is one of the reasons this watch has a Killer DNA for me. Well done Thierry ;-)

I was just going to pull the trigger on a new 5960P black dial at the Egypt AD,And they gave me a very competitive price since the watch has been there for more than a year and a half,But at the last minute I decided to wait for the 5905.

It was a very smooth deal but I chickened out.....I don't know if I did the right decision or not.I love things in each but can't afford both NOW.
