Patek Philippe

I'd like to know you experts what's your opinion on the Gondolo Calendario 5135G with slate dial, I'm in the run for one, as I think this would be a nice addition to my other Pateks, I love the tonneau shape and slate dial and most of all the size pleases me.  Most of them prized around 25K € , I think you get a lot for your money.  Never understood why they stopped producing them so fast in fact.  Wasn't it loved at all ??

I spotted Stephen Fry, an English actor, presenter, comedian..., sporting a yellow gold one once on TV and it looked great on him.

Have to agree with Bruno on the money for value aspect and the collectability.

I liked the 5135 a lot, too.

I would certainly go for a coloured gold version as it fits better to the nobles of this watch, that oozes art deco.

Certainly, knowing it is a watch that will be collectable is always a perfect property of a watch but not necessarily a mandatory one, especially if one can call some great watches already one's own.

The shape watches are always watches with a smaller demand but they have a lot of character for sure.
I can understand you attraction and the Annual Calendar is a sherry on the cake

That's nice to be able to share this "exploring" experience with a friend.
The more we have ideas and discover new references the more we can close to buying the watches that suit our taste.

Bruno shoved it under my nose LOL ! ... well not exactly, I was aware of this ref. of course but it was not on my priority list, that was before my 5960P and 5070P came in, but now it came back on the radar, and the more i see it the more i liked it, like i said it's a really affordable piece IMO if you compare to nowadays new collections of PP, almost a bargain.
So maybe I'll take the plunge and throw in another watch + cash to ease my conscience ... we'll see !

And yes, it is quite very nice value for money.
We'll be very happy to see the positive outcome if you take the plundge

The slate dial makes it smaller... what is a good point because it looks huge on the wrist!
