It's always great to read other PuristS' cars and their ownership experiences.  I took a look at the Astons too when I was looking at my Maserati, and they sure are sexy.  The shop had several Rapide's there too.  I hope to one day get an Aston as I find them to be elegant, under the radar, and pure luxury.

Don't worry if you don't drive the car much.  As long as you enjoy it dearly every time you do, it's all worth it.

They do have few Rapides that are priced very competitively....I got mine from Los Gatos.

I will think about this dealer next time, in fact, one of their beefed-up Onyx Panamera Turbo looks stunning.

Price is one thing, but warranty cost, repair, maintenance is a different story for AM.

My nearest AD is 200 miles one way, unlike Maserati/Ferrari, which is in Oregon, just 50 miles.

As I mentioned earlier in your post, I was looking at the 2013 Maserati MC vs this AM for my 650Ci trade in.

Well, at least I owned it before and the experience was very nice...AM customer service is great.

I hope you enjoy your MC, it is by far, one of the best looking car.

means a lot, sincerely appreciated. I read a lot of magazines: Roundel, Panorama, Christophorus, Aston Martin, Automobiles, Motor Trends etc.. so I keep track of many auto trend news. I guess that's interest and hobby.

This is a real life dilemma situation for me now so I'm working through the numbers with various dealers.

I'm am from a humble family beginning, just fortunate to have work my way up with a better job and great support from wife working as well )

I felt life is short, not knowing what will happen next so I try to enjoy (this is relative) and fulfill my dreams before I need to use a walker...

The problem is that the AM is your 'garage queen'.  As with watches, so with cars: the answer is to drive it.  Drive it anywhere.  Drive it everywhere.  Drive it all the time.  Drive it 'just because'.  And most of all, drive it through tunnels (without the B&O sound system on); dropping it into second at about 50mph/80 Km/h, then spinning it out all the way with the pedal to the metal...

Sadly, as I would love to play with the same 4 wheels toy than yours!

My garage queen was less exotic, a vintage MB SL, but I hand-washed and babied her endlessly.  On the occasions when I took her out for a spin and then realized that I needed to drop into a store (inevitably a Wal-Mart) to get something quick - I'd look at the topographic lay of the parking lot and quickly run worse case scenarios through my head... taking into regard slope, location of shopping cart collection areas, position of 'tree medians' throughout the lot, etc.  I'd attempt to find the least convenient yet highly visible region of the lot, tucked up against the lower side of a 'blocking area' so that any errant cart or other free-rolling object motivated by gravity couldn't possibly strike her.  But not so remote of a location that a bad guy (e.g. envious, vindicative, opportunitstic) could approach from an easy hiding spot and do harm.  Knowing that the average scumbag would scrach a key to her if it was even remotely convenient I had to also make sure that the location/direction of the lightpost-mounted security cameras fully protected the vehicle.  Then, realizing that such a spot was near impossible to find I'd just park - jog across the lot, buy the stuff, do the self-check out register, and jog back to the car!

I cannot imagine what it's like for you or me to behave if some one opens the door and give our car a ding.

I've done that.  And my vehicle wasn't even an especially expensive vehicle   A passenger out of a car opened the door too quickly and lightly dented my driver's door.
